About Sthal
Holding backgrounds in illustration, styling and design, it was their shared love of ceramics that led Sthal creators Susanna Theander and Helena Åkesson-Liedberg to create this beautiful yet functional range of dinner and tableware.
Designed in Sweden and made in Portugal, the products are made of stoneware clay and glazes that are fired to very high temperatures making them practical and durable. As a result they can be used in the household oven (up to 200 degrees), microwave and dishwasher. This means you can use them to bake dishes in the oven and then let the dishwasher do all the hard work after your meal.
The Arabesque collection
What makes Sthal crockery so special is its use of pattern and glazes which mean no two items are ever the same. Each piece is consequently unique.
The Arabesque design features swirling patterns of leaves and flowers with glaze colours carefully chosen to make the food look extra appetizing. Colour shifts and variations in pattern depth are created from these glazes that run over the pattern. We are currently stocking Sthal’s Pineapple, Fig and Seaweed colour ranges. Serving Dishes
