About Ceramic Artist Virginia Graham
Virginia Graham’s journey with clay began at primary school aged 10 and she has been on it ever since. Following a GCSE and A Level in Ceramics and a Foundation year at Wimbledon School of Art, Virginia gained a degree in ceramics at The University of Wales Institute Cardiff. She has since gone on to make, exhibit and sell her unique style of ceramic pieces to buyers around the world.
Virginia Graham now works from her home studio in Aberdeenshire, set against the backdrop of the Cairngorms National Park.
Inspiration behind Virginia Graham’s work
Drawing inspiration from older ceramics, vintage textiles, paper ephemera and themes of collecting and commemoration, Virginia creates ceramics that bring together nostalgic form and imagery with a dash of playful humour.
Through the combining of styles, prints and colour to evoke memories and create connections, the resulting pieces become both precious and curious as well as familiar and ordinary.
Items in Virginia Graham’s range
We are so happy to be stockists of Virginia Graham. With each piece being made by hand they have their own unique style about them. The tiny planters add instant beauty to a shelf; the mugs look stunning lined up on a dresser and the vases attract the eye with or without flowers. Functional and pretty, you won’t know whether to use them or just admire them.
